Your Floating Resort

One Vacation, Many Destinations

A cruise lets you unpack once and wake up somewhere new. Meals, entertainment and kids’ clubs are built in, which makes it one of the easiest ways for a family to travel together.

Royal Caribbean is the cruise line we book most, and we also plan sailings on Virgin Voyages, Princess, Celebrity, Norwegian and Disney Cruise Line. We’ll help you choose the right line, ship, cabin and itinerary, and we’ll handle the details from deposit to boarding day.

Our #1 Cruise Line · Best for Families

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean is the cruise line we book most, and for good reason. Its ships are packed with waterslides, surf simulators, ice skating, Broadway-style shows and neighborhoods for every age, with kids’ clubs from toddlers to teens. The Icon Class ships, Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas and the brand-new Legend of the Seas, are the most family-focused ships at sea, and Legend begins sailing from Fort Lauderdale in November 2026.

Many Caribbean itineraries stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island, and the new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau opened in December 2025.

Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages is our pick for a grown-ups-only getaway, whether it’s a honeymoon, an anniversary or a trip with friends. Every sailor is 18 or older, and instead of buffets and formal nights you’ll find 20-plus eateries, a lively deck scene and plenty of spots to relax.

Wi-Fi, basic drinks and tips are included in your fare. The four ships, Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady, sail the Caribbean and Europe, and Brilliant Lady also sails Alaska.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian is all about freedom: no set dinner times, no formal dress code and lots of dining choices, which makes it easy for big groups to do their own thing. Newer ships like Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna sail Caribbean cruises from Florida, and The Haven offers a private ship-within-a-ship for suite guests.

Norwegian’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, now has a pier so most ships dock instead of using tenders, and the new Great Tides Waterpark opened there in September 2026 (separate fee).

Planning Basics

What to Know Before You Sail

Choosing a Cabin

Inside cabins are the best value, balconies are worth it on scenic itineraries like Alaska, and family and connecting cabins sell out early. Booking early gives you the best choice.

Florida Cruise Ports

Port Canaveral (near Orlando), PortMiami and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale are home to many Bahamas and Caribbean sailings. We recommend arriving the day before so a flight delay doesn’t cost you the ship.

Passports & ID

On closed-loop cruises that start and end at the same U.S. port, U.S. citizens can usually sail with a birth certificate (plus photo ID for ages 16+). We still recommend passports in case you need to fly home from another country.

What’s Included

Your fare covers your cabin, main dining rooms, entertainment and kids’ clubs. Specialty dining, drink packages, Wi-Fi, excursions and tips are usually extra, though Virgin Voyages includes tips, Wi-Fi and basic drinks.

Private Islands

Most Bahamas and Caribbean cruises stop at a private island or beach club, like Perfect Day at CocoCay, Great Stirrup Cay, The Beach Club at Bimini or Disney’s Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay. We’ll help you plan the perfect beach day.

Cruising With Little Ones

Most cruise lines require babies to be at least 6 months old to sail, and some longer itineraries require 12 months. Nursery and kids’ club ages vary by line, so we’ll help you find the best fit.
