Dining

Olivia's Cafe (Table Service)

This unique nautical-themed cafe has the friendly, familiar feel of a neighborhood restaurant and is a perennial favorite of many. A must-visit spot for breakfast, Olivia’s Cafe serves up traditional favorites as well as several of Olivia’s own specialties, such as Banana Bread, French Toast, and pancakes and eggs. Conch Fritters, the Conch Flatts club sandwich, and the signature Duval Street Burger make for a leisurely and fully loaded lunch. Enjoy a delicious dinner with entrees like Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken or New York Strip Steak. Don’t forget to save room for some Key Lime Tart or the warm Banana Bread Pudding Sundae with bananas foster topping.

It’s all good! Burgers, salads, desserts, snacks, and beverages are all ready to grab ’n’ go—perfect for when you just want to find a shady picnic table near the main pool and enjoy a cheeseburger.

Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks

Meander over to the Turtle Shack for a quick pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, and salads. Sweet treats, soft drinks, wine, draft, and bottled beer are also available at this seasonal venue. A shuffleboard court and game room offer nearby fun.

Gurgling Suitcase (Bar)


Relax and unwind at this cozy little Key West-style bar and try the Turtle Krawl or your drink of choice inside or by the pool. Wine and domestic and imported beer are also served. Feeling hungry? The lunch and dinner menu from Olivia’s Cafe is available here!

In-Room Kitchen

If you are staying in a one, two, or three-bedroom villa, you will be equipped with a full kitchen. You can order groceries and get them delivered to be able to prepare meals in your room.

Activities

At Old Key West, it is impossible to get bored. There are 4 pools, 4 whirlpool spas, a Children’s playground, Arcade, and Community Hall. 

 

You can play tennis, shuffleboard, volleyball, basketball, or board games. 

 

Nightly Disney movies under the stars at the Family Tree.

 

Although the activities vary by day, here is an example of some of the trivia, arts and crafts, dance parties, games, and bingo you might find. 

 

Look for an activities board near the pool or food court, or check your tv for the schedule during your stay.

 

Shopping

 

At Conch Flats General Store, convenience is key!  Enjoy shopping for signature Disney character apparel and souvenirs, groceries, snacks, sundries, beverages, and Old Key West logo merchandise at this “Key West” themed store. Don’t forget to pick up trading pins and mouse ears while you’re there! 

Transportation

You have two Disney transportation options at Old Key West:

 

  • Motorcoach Bus

  • Ferryboat

 
Please plan on up to a 20-minute wait for Disney transportation in addition to walking time to resort, or theme park transportation stops. Here are approximate travel times for each park:

 

Magic Kingdom – 25 minutes by bus

Epcot – 18 minutes by bus

Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 14 minutes by bus

Disney’s Animal Kingdom – 20 minutes by bus

Disney Springs – 15 minutes by bus, 20 minutes by ferry boat

Blizzard Beach Water Park – 19 minutes by bus

 

Typhoon Lagoon Water Park – 19 minutes by bus

 

A private “Minnie Van” can be rented, as well, for a by-service fee.

The Monorail stops inside the Contemporary Resort – it even runs through the main building!

Pro Tips

  • OKW has large rooms!! Perfect for families to spread out.

  • The buildings are laid out like mini villages – so give yourself plenty of time to get around the resort. Hop a theme park bus to arrive at the Hospitality House, hop a Disney Springs bound bus to arrive back at the bus stop closest to your room.
